Bravo Company is stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama the home of Army Aviation.  They are detached from the battalion and are serviced by both 46th ECB(H) headquarters and the 1-13th Aviation Regiment.  They are strategically located as the sole Active Army Engineer asset along the Gulf between Fort Polk, LA and Fort Benning, GA.  The command team consists of   CPT Christopher O. Beal who assumed command in February, 2008 and the 1SG Gregory Williams.  Bravo Beast deployed in support of Operation Iraqi freedom in early Summer 2008.

On order, the 46th Engineer Battalion deploys, with or without equipment, to conduct mobility, survivability and sustainment engineering operations.

Constituted 7 December 1917 in the National Army as the 46th Engineers. Organized March-April 1918 at Camp Sheridan, Alabama.   Reorganized and redesignated 23 November 1953 as the 46th Engineer Battalion. Vietnam campaigns included Defense, Counteroffensive, Counteroffensive Phase II, Counteroffensive Phase III, Tet Counteroffensive, Counteroffensive Phase IV, Counteroffensive Phase V, Counteroffensive Phase VI, Tet 69/Counteroffensive, Summer-Fall 1969, Winter-Spring 1970, Sanctuary Counteroffensive, Counteroffensive Phase VII, and Consolidation I. Southwest Asia campaigns included Defense of Saudi Arabia and Liberation and Defense of Kuwait. And 3 deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Currently the Battalion is deployed to Camp Liberty, Iraq.
